Before I start out I must explain that the garden is really my wife's
I am merely the drone - and photographer.

I love this time of year in the garden
New blooms appear each day to replace those fading from yesterday.

Here the first bud of the season on the
Gertrude Jekyll rose is just about to open.

The first poppy of the year opens

The irises opened yesterday
and will continue to flower for a few weeks more.

In the perennial bed
flowers and plants begin to compete in their splendour
The perennial geranium is already well in bloom

A new azalea
puts on a brave display for it's first year
